United Supermarkets was founded by H.D. Snell in 1916 in Sayre, Okla. The company operates more than 25 stores in Oklahoma and employs over 1,200 people throughout the United States. Some of United Supermarkets stores feature wider aisles for shopping and have a battery-operated cart available for shoppers with physical disabilities. It maintains a location in Kingfisher, Okla.
