Lutheran Community Services Northwest is a nonprofit human services agency that serves several communities throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho. It provides a variety of services to adults, adolescents, children, families, schools, businesses and congregations. The agency specializes in mental health counseling, crisis intervention, foster care, transitional housing, alcohol treatment, violence prevention and adoption services. It also provides English language assistance and other educational and recreational activities to youth. Additionally, the agency offers case management and coordination services for refugees. It conducts orientation classes in schools, banks and clinics. Lutheran Community Services Northwest, with a location in Portland, Ore., also organizes cycling events, dinners, champagne galas and other fundraising events.
