I'm ranking 5 star because we are always excited to see new restaurants and different cuisines in Astoria. I had the chicken gyro ...not traditional in that the chicken was more a turmeric yellow...

We had such a great time eating here! The owner invited us in as though we were family and gave great recommendations:) we enjoyed the hummus and baba ganoush platter, shawarma and a gyro....

Great experience at Athena's on pier 39. Service and food were quite good and the ambiance of being in an old cannery building was pretty cool. They also had a high chair for our one year old.
