East Blair Housing Cooperative (EBHC) is dedicated to creating an intentional community that offers low-cost residential housing, promoting values of creativity, diversity, civility, cooperation, and accountability among its members and neighbors. The cooperative is committed to providing quality occupant-operated housing, accepting Section 8 vouchers, and maintaining affordability at or below HUD's Fair Market Rent levels for individuals who earn low incomes or would otherwise struggle to access such housing. In addition to offering affordable living arrangements, EBHC provides its members with opportunities to acquire valuable skills in areas such as consensus decision-making, conflict resolution, home repair, gardening, and nonprofit management.
