Alyssa N Acquaviva, PA-C

Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Burgess diagnoses and treats medical and surgical conditions affecting the bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. He specializes in sports medicine and also treats pain as a result of injury, illness, or disabling conditions. Dr. Burgess earned his medical degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, where he was president of his medical school class. He later completed his residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Florida. Dr. Burgess gained additional expertise during his orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital. A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America, Dr. Burgess lectures on common injuries and prevention techniques for gymnastics and soccer athletes, as well as operative and non-operative meniscal injuries. He was previously team physician for the Orlando Predators Arena Football team and East River High School football teams in Orlando. Dr. Burgess has medical staff privileges at Allegheny General Hospital, Wexford Surgery Center, and Bethel Park Surgery Center. He currently serves as a team physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates and team physician for Hampton High School.

Beth Nickel is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) who specializes in orthopaedic surgery. She treats all patients the way she would want her own family and friends to be treated. Beth received a Master of Science from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of PAs and the Pennsylvania Society Physician Assistants. She sees patients ages 16 and older and speaks English.

Andrew Waligora, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon with AHN Orthopaedic Institute, specializing in adult reconstruction. His primary specialties are primary revision hip and knee replacement surgeries. He is skilled at robotic partial and total knee replacement and complex hip and knee replacement surgeries. Dr. Waligora went to medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He did his residency at University of Florida Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida and his fellowship in adult reconstruction at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Waligora is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is affiliated with the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He focuses on comprehensive adult reconstructive care that includes a shared decision-making process to identify which treatment or procedure best serves each patient. Dr. Waligora welcomes patients ages 14 and older.
