Dr. Potter has developed numerous cutting-edge techniques and programs to improve care and quality of life for injured service members and other patients worldwide. His research efforts include trauma-related amputation techniques to improve mobility and decrease pain and predictive modeling of musculoskeletal trauma and oncologic outcomes. Prior to joining Penn Medicine, Dr. Potter served as the Norman M. Rich Professor and Chair of the Department of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University – Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He served as Director of the Department of Defense Limb Optimization and Osseointegration Program at the Uniformed Services University and Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Amputee Program at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He was also a musculoskeletal oncologist within the Murtha Cancer Center at Walter Reed, as well as a consultant for the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Potter retired as a Colonel from the U.S. Army in 2023, following over 22 years of active duty service.

Dr. Anthony earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, and went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Iowa, followed by a fellowship in joint preservation, resurfacing and replacement at Washington University. During his fellowship, he also served as an attending orthopaedic surgeon at Barnes Jewish Hospital and Veterans Administration Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Anthony sees patients at Penn Medicine Radnor and Pennsylvania Hospital.
