Berks Community Health Center

Founded in 1955, Penn Foundation is a nonprofit organization providing comprehensive mental health and mental retardation, and addiction treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. The center provides inpatient, outpatient and residential treatment, crisis intervention, case management, Christian counseling, and employee assistance programs to more than 8,000 individuals every year. Its offers a wide range of services, including abuse prevention services, services for pastors, chaplains and other leaders, services for businesses, support groups and educational opportunities. The center provides trained crisis workers available 24-hours, seven-days a week to offer supportive problem solving strategies for mental health and substance abuse emergencies. Penn Foundation offers the opportunity to perform a confidential online screening for the detection of depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety and posttraumatic stress disorder, and alcohol abuse. The center is located in Sellersville, Pa.
