Government Offices City Second Alarmers Assn & Rescue Squad of Montgomery County
Established in 1938, Second Alarmers Rescue Squad is an emergency medical services and rescue agency. It handles more than 10,000 emergency cases annually in Abington, Upper Dublin, Upper Moreland, Whitpain, Hatboro, Jenkintown and Rockledge in Pennsylvania. The agency assists first responders in learning about vehicles and systems that help in emergency situation response. Second Alarmers Rescue Squad houses a fleet of ambulances, rescue units, utility vans and trucks. It operates the Emergency Bloodhound Team, which is a local dog handler group that provides K-9 and missing person searches and works in conjunction with marine unit, bike team and the rescue department. The agency also administers a cardiopulmonary resuscitation program.
