Community Music School

The Curtis Institute of Music trains gifted young musicians for careers as performing artists. Founded in 1924, the institute is one of the leading music schools in Pennsylvania. It enrolls more than 160 students annually. The Curtis Institute of Music offers a range of bachelor s and master s degree programs in music. The institute offers public performances, including orchestra concerts, operas, and solo and chamber music recitals. In addition, it offers classes related to orchestral instruments, such as strings, harp, woodwinds, brass, timpani and percussion. The institute provides sessions in piano, organ, harpsichord and other keyboard instruments. The Curtis Institute of Music maintains a location in Philadelphia.

Wilmington Music School was founded in 1924, and is located in Wilmington, Del. It is a music education and programming school. It provides music instruction and programs for people of all ages. The school also offers private instrumental and vocal instruction; introductory and supplemental music classes and ensembles; music theory and appreciation courses; and early childhood programs. It provides performance opportunities for students, faculty and special guests. The school additionally offers financial aid to students, and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Precollegiate Arts Schools. The school is an institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. The school provides private and group instructions, music therapy, music theory, instrumental and choral ensembles.
