Incorporated in 1973, the Friends of the Free Library of Philadelphia is an independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the Free Library of Philadelphia. Through affiliate neighborhood volunteer groups, we promote cooperation and communication between the community and the Free Library and advocate for library services for all. Neighborhood Volunteers for Better Libraries increasing the number and capacity of Friends Groups who promote and volunteer at branch libraries Book Corner and The Next Page our used bookstores staffed by a team of paid and volunteer booksellers that offer gently used, publicly donated books, records, and CDs at reduced prices. We feature an eclectic stock emcompassing all genres including fiction, non-fiction, contemporary, classics, out of print, first editions, art, architecture, and crafts.
