Elisa Bushman, MD

Melissa Schultz is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) who specializes in obesity medicine. Her clinical interests focus on weight management. She treats people ages 18 and older and speaks English. Melissa uses team-based care in a multidisciplinary specialty center, giving medical and surgical care to patients with obesity. She provides individualized treatment plans to help patients manage their weight. Melissa received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree from Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pennsylvania. She has a Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant degree from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. She is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Akshay Khandelwal, MD Akshay Khandelwal, MD, is the chief of cardiovascular medicine and an interventional cardiologist with AHN Cardiovascular Institute. He is skilled at coronary and peripheral vascular disease, as well as advanced endovascular and coronary intervention procedures. Dr. Khandelwal went to medical school at Bangalore University, Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College in Karnataka, India. He did his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. As of April, will be Treasurer, American College of Cardiology, and member, ACC Board of Trustees, from 2024-2027. Dr. Khandelwal is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Khandelwal has been named “Top Cardiologist” by Detroit Hour Magazine for multiple years in a row, as well as being published in numerous academic journals for his work. Dr. Khandelwal sees patients ages 18 and older.

Amanda Mace is a certified physician assistant who specializes in neurology and headache medicine. She is interested in headache medicine, particularly migraine and post-traumatic headaches. She can perform BOTOX® for chronic migraine, trigeminal nerve blocks, and occipital nerve blocks. Amanda believes there is no one-size-fits-all headache treatment, so she takes time to understand what is important to her patients and choose appropriate medications and treatment options to meet their headache goals. She focuses on natural treatment and lifestyle changes when appropriate. Amanda received a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies from West Liberty University in West Liberty, West Virginia, and a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Amanda is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of PAs and the American Headache Society. She sees patients ages 18 and older and speaks English.
