After earning a degree in Economics from the prestigious Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Dr. Levy returned to his hometown of Pittsburgh to earn his Doctor of Medicine Degree at the University of Pittsburgh, and continue with his surgical internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency there as well. He then completed a Spine Surgery Fellowship at the renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in California, and then joined Greater Pittsburgh Orthopaedic Associates in 1994.

Dr. DiTano has conducted laboratory and clinical studies in the field of upper extremity surgery. He has written scientific articles in journals and has presented his research at national and international levels. Dr. DiTano treats pathology in the entire upper extremity. He is involved with treating common hand conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and hand arthritis with endoscopic carpal tunnel release and joint replacements. Dr. DiTano stated, “These techniques can eliminate pain and restore normal function to the hand.” He continues to specialize in trauma reconstruction and nerve compression injuries in the upper extremity. He also is available to give second opinions to help patients if needed.
