I am a board-certified, fellowship-trained breast radiologist. I work closely and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide the most appropriate breast imaging and minimially invasive breast procedures to our patients.In a typical day, I interpret screening and diagnostic mammograms, perform and interpret breast ultrasound, and read breast MRIs. I also perform image guided minimally invasive procedures. While I enjoy the diagnostic and procedural components of my work, the most meaningful and my most favorite aspects of my job are my interactions with our patients. As a breast imager, my role is to not only detect breast abnormalities, but to explain the imaging findings and my recommendations to our patients. I am often the first person to tell a patient they have breast cancer - I take this role very seriously and am honored to help patients understand their disease and their next treatment steps.My research is focused on emerging screening technologies (breast tomosynthesis, synthetic imaging, abbreviated MRI) and reducing disparities in access to screening. I am also dedicated to education - I am the breast imaging fellowship director and actively teach residents and medical students.I am also the Co-Chair of Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania's ethics committee and a member of the hospital ethics consultative service. In this role, I help facilitate conversations with our patients and their medical team around complex medical decision making and treatment choices.

I am a board certified diagnostic neuroradiologist with CAQ subspecialty certification in neuroradiology. My expertise is in the interpretation of brain, head and neck, and spine CT and MR imaging. I lead the Penn Vessel Wall MR Imaging Program and Song Cerebrovascular Lab.
