Established in 1973 as a 12 bed emergency shelter facility at 241 East 26th Street, Community Shelter Services, has evolved into a multi-faceted shelter, housing and support services provider for homeless men, women and children. Community Shelter Services, offers children a playground area as well as a playroom furnished with donated toys. The program provides supervision in a safe & secure setting, socialization & friendship, recreational activities, arts & music programs, community recreation, meal program, scheduled transportation, assistance with personal care, respite for caregivers and social work services.
