Natasha Mirza, MD is Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Pennsylvania and Director of the Penn Voice and Swallowing Center. Her clinical practice is based at the Perlman Center, Penn. Her areas of expertise are Voice, Airway and Swallowing disorders. She performs office based procedures including Botox injections for laryngeal and head and neck dystonias. Dr. Genovese graduated from the University of Notre Dame, attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh, where she also earned a Master’s in Clinical Research, and completed her Vascular Surgery Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Genovese has extensive experience in both open vascular surgeries and minimally invasive, endovascular procedures for the treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD), cerebrovascular disease, mesenteric occlusive disease, aortic aneurysms, dialysis access and venous disease. She currently serves as the Chair of the Lower Extremity Bypass modules for the Society of Vascular Surgery’s Vascular Quality Initiative and the Chair of the Research Consortium for the Vascular and Endovascular Surgical Society. Her research focuses on healthcare disparities in peripheral arterial disease detection, treatment and outcomes, along with integration of new technology to streamline treatment algorithms and improve outcomes with complex endovascular therapies for peripheral arterial disease.
