Center for Life Long Learning engages, energizes and entertains while fostering active aging. Hundreds of older adults participated in nearly 200 classes last year. SCS? SeniorServe Program recruits, trains and formally recognizes SCS? volunteers. Last year 410 individuals dedicated 45,988 hours. SCS? Care Management?s social workers connect low income elderly to support services such as assistance with bathing, installation of stair glides and resources for light chores. 1,525 homebound older persons were served. Senior Center at Home staff and trained volunteers reduce depression and increase motivation by engaging homebound seniors in meaningful activities such as playing scrabble, making scrapbooks and visiting with therapy dogs. 1,138 visits were logged. SCS? Family Caregiver Support Program social workers assisted 249 families with problem solving, resource connections, emotional support and financial reimbursement for care giving expenses. SCS?
