Owned and operated by historian, digital alchemist and jovial wiseacre Todd Kimmell, The Grand Review sources and acquires unique, obscure, compelling and engaging historic images, puts them through a sometimes gentle and sometimes ferocious restoration process, then reintroduces the now reborn imagery as handsomely crafted large format prints. The Grand Review is a dynamic working art studio with a small yet delightfully vibrant gallery located at the western edge of Philadelphia in the charming and historic Overbrook Farms neighborhood. First of the original planned communities along what was to be known as the Pennsylvania Railroad's Main Line, Overbrook Farms is a quietly unsung gem of stately homes designed by some of the preeminent architects of the late 19th century. We've transformed a particularly handsome period carriage house into our permanent workspace. Old wood lined walls are covered with finished prints, antique showcases throughout displaying smaller, raw originals
