Established in 1946, The Seeing Hand Association is a human services organization that provides services for the blind and visually impaired individuals. It offers training in the use of computer and access technology. The organization operates a center that features computer workstations with a variety of technology, including speech output, screen magnification, Braille display, optical character recognition systems and note taking devices. Its career and vocational services offers opportunities for individual growth and development, confidence building, and economic and personal independence through education and training. The Seeing Hand Association provides career counseling services that include assistance with resume writing, completing job applications and interviewing skills. In addition, it offers leisure activities that include bowling, picnics, baseball and games. The organization is located in Wheeling, W.Va.
