The Reading Blue Mountain and Northern's Passenger Department offers you scenic train rides with our fleet of historic and restored steam engines, Rail Diesel Cars (RDCs), and family-friendly themed trips year round. Our newest addition and crowd favorite, the "2102" steam engine, is available for ridership as well as our classic "425" locomotive. Most trips begin at Outer Station and travel to Jim Thorpe, PA which is known as the "Switzerland of America". These day trips highlight an exceptional tourist destination which offers services ranging from artisan shops to fine dining. As one patron stated, "It was the ride of a lifetime!".
