St John Bosco School

Saint John Bosco School was founded in 1953. Our school is committed to preparing the students to proclaim and live the Good News of Jesus Christ through religious and academic instruction. The uniqueness of each student as a child of God is stressed, thereby providing a foundation of self-worth and importance. In order to respond to the personal needs of each child, Saint John Bosco School recognizes individual abilities, talents, and differences. A positive learning environment is provided along with a strong academic curriculum. Creativity and diverse teaching methods in conjunction with archdiocesan guidelines challenge students to reach their greatest potential and recognize their responsibility to use their God-given gifts. Saint John Bosco School strives to provide each student with a quality education as well as an opportunity to grow spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Saint John Bosco School serves approximately 200 Catholic and non-Catholic students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. The students represent various ethnic backgrounds and come mostly from the middle-class neighborhoods of Hatboro, Upper Moreland, and Warminster. Government funded remedial and enrichment services are provided for students in grades PreK-8. The students reflect all ability levels and are grouped heterogeneously for instruction. This allows for flexible grouping to meet the needs of individual students. Classrooms in grades PreK-4 are self-contained, while students of grades 5-8 experience a departmental organization for religion, integrated language arts, math, social studies and science. Bus service is available through public transportation for all of our students. Some students are car riders. Our school day begins at 8: 00 a.m. with an outdoor bell and gathering. The school day ends at 3: 05 p.m. Prayer begins and ends our day, since Christ is the reason for this school and the unseen but ever-present teacher in its classes.
