Cranston RSVP

The City of Cranston, R.I., has a population of more than 80,000 and is operated under a mayor and nine council members. The city has various full-time departments and volunteer committees, including health, finance office, fire department, parks and recreation, planning and zoning, police, public works and senior services. Its senior services department provides comprehensive services to senior citizens and their families. The various services offered by the department include adult day services, nutrition, health screening, recreational, educational and health programs, legal guidance, medical assistance and housing information and transportation. It also organizes various support groups for Alzheimer's disease and arthritis. The city has various senior services centers and housing complexes.
