Westerly Chariho, Arc is a nonprofit community-based organization. Founded in 1966, it serves persons with developmental disabilities and their families throughout southern Rhode Island and Connecticut. The organization offers programs that assist individuals in the areas of daily living skills, interpersonal relationships, community awareness, physical maintenance, and socialization, communication and leisure skills. Westerly Chariho, Arc provides residential services program that includes various recreational activities and assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming. It also offers a home based therapeutic services program for children with behavioral and cognitive impairments. In addition, the organization offers respite care and community vocational services.
