The RI Department of Labor and Training is a provider of work force protection and development services. The department s workforce development services division offers work force information, education and training services. The division is a partnership of the federal, state and local agencies. The RI Department of Labor and Training provides administrative and technical support solutions. The department s employer service unit has a staff of more than five employees. Its rapid response team assists in the management of human resource needs of companies. The RI Department of Labor and Training offers counseling, meeting scheduling and survey administration services. Its Foreign Labor Certification (FLC) Unit acts as an agent for the Department of Labor. In addition, it conducts the H-2B Labor Certification Program and H-2A Labor Certification Program. The RI Department of Labor and Training also provides services for youths and individuals.
