Clemson University Fire and Emergency Medical Services is a branch of the department of public safety within the division of student affairs of the university. It works to provide response services for fire, medical and rescue emergencies through public education and code enforcement. The department offers a safe campus environment and minimizes the frequency and severity of accidental fires. Clemson University Fire and Emergency Medical Services houses various engines, ladder trucks and medic vehicles. It is comprised of various cross-trained, full-time student and volunteer personnel who respond to several emergency operations. It maintains an administration, training and special services division that is responsible for the administration of personnel rules and regulations and develops and implements department training programs.
