Gregory Alan Compton, MD

A native of Athens, GA, Dr. Hayley Walter, rheumatologist, received her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Mercer University in Savannah, GA. She then completed her internal medicine residency at Memorial Health University/Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah and her rheumatology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Walter was named intern and resident of the year during her residency, and in 2016-2017, she was elected Chief Resident. Throughout her fellowship training, she did additional research focusing on the potential link between the gut microbiome and kidney inflammation in lupus patients. She then joined a private practice in Denver, CO. In 2023, Dr. Walter joined the MUSC Center for Telehealth. Josh Visserman, M.D. specializes in wound care, specifically managing chronic and complex wounds and hyperbaric medicine. He is one of the few fellowship-trained wound care physicians.
