Growing up right here in the Lowcountry, I was extremely close to both of my grandfathers. One was an orthopedic surgeon and the other a carpenter. From a young age, I watched and learned how each of them used their hands to build, repair and restore. By the time I was seven, I knew I wanted to become an orthopedic surgeon so I could use my hands to help people. \n I have been fortunate to complete all my education here in the Palmetto State, and to build my career here as well. I attended Wofford College followed by the Medical University of South Carolina. After completing my orthopaedic residency in Greenville, I began serving the people of Beaufort and have been honored to do so ever since. \n My goal is for every patient I meet to receive a thorough, individualized evaluation. I take the time to understand not just their orthopedic concerns, but their personal situations and goals. From there, I create an orthopedic care plan tailored specifically to them. My goal is to provide care and treatment that aligns with each patient's lifestyle and helps them achieve their best outcome possible. \n As the son of a Methodist minister, my faith and family are central. I met my wife Tami in college and together we have three children: our son Riley, and daughters Caroline and Sarah. In my free time, I enjoy fishing in our local rivers and hunting in the swamps and upland fields - especially when I can share those experiences with my kids.

I'm board-certified and have extensive experience in a variety of surgical procedures, including endoscopies and colonoscopies. I've operated on gallbladders and thyroids, repaired hernias and am adept at both laparoscopic and traditional surgery.
