The Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company, established in 1947, is a self-service grocery store that offers a range of food and grocery products. It operates a chain of privately owned, family-operated stores in South Carolina and serves more than 100 retail stores. It has a workforce of over 5,000 employees. Its stores offer a range of ready-to-eat meals, such as beef and chicken dinners, casseroles, family-style portions, fish and seafood, gourmet items and international food items. Its specialty items include Mexican foods, party platters, pasta dishes, pork dinners, quick and easy snacks, simple and fresh cuisine, summer fare, tailing and grilling meats, vegetarian meals and weight-loss selections. It maintains locations in cities throughout the United States, including Hanahan, S.C.
