Pickens Savings and Loan Association was organized as the Pickens Building and Loan Association. The corporation began by charter on May 5, 1920. The general nature of the business, according to charter, was to make loans secured by mortgage of real estate, stocks, bonds, or other securities ; to build and rent homes ; to buy and sell real estate, stocks, notes and bonds ; and to conduct and operate the association in accordance with the provisions of the law. Our goal has always been to be our community's finest hometown financial institution, and our focus has led to success and profitability. Today, we are located at 205 E. Cedar Rock Street. We have 6 strong board members that are faithful leaders in our community and 20 employees. Maybe most importantly, though, is our continued commitment to attracting the best banking employees in the Pickens area. There is simply no substitute for the kind of people who provide outstanding customer service day in, day out.
