Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital

Waccamaw Community Hospital is a private, nonprofit, full-service hospital providing various health care services to the people of Georgetown County in South Carolina. The hospital was opened in 2002, and provides private patient rooms and acute rehabilitation services. The outpatient services provided by the hospital include cardiopulmonary, laboratory, diagnostic imaging and emergency services. The hospital also provides a nursery for newborns, and obstetrical, hydrotherapy, and medical and surgical units. It provides same day surgery, water therapy, and various labor and delivery services. Its rehabilitation center provides inpatient acute rehabilitation services, including assistance with daily activities, and physical, occupational and speech therapies. It also provides rehabilitation services for patients suffering from stroke, joint replacement and limb amputation. Located in Murrells Inlet, S.C., the hospital is a member of the Georgetown Hospital System.
