Dr. Winton earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine where she played lacrosse and golf, serving as captain in both sports in her senior year. She then graduated from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. Dr. Winton splits her clinical time between the emergency department, sports medicine clinic, event coverage, and serving as a team physician for the College of Charleston athletics. She enjoys treating athletes and performers of all levels. She has specific interests in emergent orthopedic/sports medicine conditions and injuries, ultrasound applications in sports medicine, and medical education. Dr. Winton frequently performs the following procedures: joint injections, ultrasound-guided joint injections, soft tissue/bursal injections, trigger point injections, regenerative medicine injections (PRP platelet-rich plasma), diagnostic ultrasound, and exercise counseling and program design. Dr. Winton also enjoys giving back to the community in other days, including volunteering with her husband at One80 Place and Habitat for Humanity and supporting Charleston Youth Development Center. She lives in the Charleston area with her husband and daughter.
