HistoryCanyon Lake Veterinary Hospital opened its doors in 1974, and became the first AAHA accredited hospital in South Dakota in 1976. At that time, Dr. Mortimer worked with only one assistant. As a result of the success of CLVH and increased demand for high quality care, our hospital family has grown to 3 Veterinarians, 5 Registered Veterinary Technicians, a Client Care Coordinator, and 2 Kennel Attendants.
