Lizanne Laird, CNP

Dr. Schabauer is a Cardiologist and Vascular Medicine Specialist at Monument Health Heart and Vascular Institute. He received his medical degree at Northwestern University and completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Wisconsin, followed by a Fellowship in Cardiology & Vascular Medicine at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Schabauer is very devoted to his patients. He believes that patients have problems that can be significantly improved, no matter how complex. He is dedicated to saving and improving lives and preventing further problems for his patients in the future. He has always known that he wanted to help develop a robust and holistic program to help our community and region. In his free time, Dr. Schabauer spends time with his wife, four children and grandchildren. He likes many outdoor activities and can be found hiking, fishing, backpacking, skiing, snowshoeing, snorkeling and hunting. He likes to travel and learn about other cultures and ecosystems. He enjoys classic vehicles, cars, motorcycles and new technology. He also makes time for physical activities, spirituality, and wellness.

BECKY SHARP, CNP, is the Nurse Practitioner for our Structural Heart Program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2010 from South Dakota State University. She worked in a telemetry/stepdown unit for several years, until she earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2016. Becky worked in general cardiology at Monument Heart and Vascular Institute, until her transition to the structural heart team.
