John Winston High founded High Funeral Home in its present location at 101 College St. in 1925. Mr. High moved to the area from Wilson County, Tennessee in the early 1920's. He started his career in funeral service in McMinnville at the Lively Furniture Store on Main Street. Mr. High built the reputation of High's on honesty, integrity, and a deep commitment to this community. That commitment still has deep roots in this community and we pride ourselves on our compassionate and caring service. High's is locally owned and operated by people from right here in this community. We are very thankful for the trust that the people of McMinnville and the surrounding areas have put in High's over the last eighty-five plus years.
