History

When Grand Master Rhee, the founder of PaSaRyu, decided to retire in 2013, we decided to keep a full time dojang (school) running. As one of Master Rhee main school instructors, before his retirement, it was important to me that his methods, his standards and his love for the community continue on. PaSaRyu has the same beginnings as Tae Kwon Do, however Grand Master Rhee wanted to incorporate more Gong Fu and Karate than that allowed by Tae Kwon Do Association. So he received permission from Master Chul He Park and Nam Suk Lee to establish PaSaRyu. While in Korea Grand Master Rhee taught at Yong Se University and to the Korean Special Forces. In 1964, Grand Master Rhee came to Memphis, TN. Here he taught celebrities like Elvis and Priscilla Presley and Bill
