Poteet High School
Dr. Ralph H. Poteet School is governed by the Mesquite Independent School District. Based in Mesquite, Texas, the school offers classes to more than 1,600 students annually in grades nine through 12. Its curriculum includes a variety of subjects, such as business, career and technical education, communications, English, fine arts, math, physical and health education, science, social studies and special education. Dr. Ralph H. Poteet School also offers various programs and activities for students, such as an art club, cheerleading, computer and science clubs, cultural arts, drill teams, National Honor Society, peer helpers, speech club, student council and senior leaders. The school arranges a variety of sporting activities, including cross country, soccer, softball, tennis, swimming, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and track and field.
