William B. Travis Elementary was established in 1898 as a four-room school house. The school presently enrolls approximately 350 students in prekindergarten through grade five and has more than 20 classroom teachers and staff members. Its staff also includes a nurse, official assistants and facilitators. William B. Travis Elementary s facilities include a library, cafeteria and computer laboratory. The school s academic curriculum includes reading, social studies, fine arts and math. It offers special education programs to support students with disabilities. The school also conducts classes in music and physical and health education. It is a part of the San Antonio Independent School District, which serves approximately 54,000 students in elementary, middle and high schools. William B. Travis Elementary is located in San Antonio.
