The Cuero Livestock Commission Inc. is a cattle auction located in the largest beef cow operating area in Texas, which in turn has the highest population of beef cows in the United States. The immediate operating area of the cattle provider spans Dewitt, Lavaca, Gonzales and Victoria Counties. Cuero Livestock Commission Inc. is one of the largest auction markets in this territory and consistently sells 70,000 to 96,000 head of livestock per year. Out of all the cattle sold, approximately 15 to 20 percent of these are cows and bulls and the remaining being calves. Cuero Livestock Commission Inc. has facilities capable of handling over 3,000 head comfortably under one roof and also operates a small fleet of truck and trailers to assist local producers in getting their livestock to market.
