HistoryThe company was formed in 1976 as BioMedical Research Group (BRG), a leading analgesia company. In 1996 SCIREX was formed through a merger between BRG, National Medical Reseach Corporation (NMRC) and an infusion of private equity and growth capital. In 2008, the company was re-named Premier Research. For more than 30 years, Premier Research has been conducting clinical research studies to evaluate investigational medication in a variety of medical conditions including acute and chronic pain. We have treated more than 90,000 study volunteers in over 350 clinical research studies. More recently, we have expanded our expertise to include the conduct of clinical studies on healthy volunteers. Our surgeons and physicians are experts in their fields, are board-certified, and have their own private practices. In addition, our staff prides itself on providing compassionate and nurturing care to all our study volunteers.SpecialtiesWe conduct medical research studies to test the safety and effectivness of investigational medications and devices on individuals with a number of medical conditions including wisdom teeth pain, bunion pain, osteoarthritis, migraine, menstrual cramps, diabetes, IBS, and many others. We also conduct phase I studies on healthy volunteers. In collaboration with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies as well as the countless study volunteers who participate in our studies, we help to develop treatments for many illnesses and improve the quality of life for patients everywhere.
