The annual Festival at the Switchyard has become an event that residents and non-residents alike look forward to all year long. This free festival features delicious food from many different vendors, unique shopping in Historic Downtown Carrollton, games and rides (such as bungee trampolines, zip line, bounce houses, zero gravity inflatable, photo booth, swinging pirate ship, model train exhibit, rock climbing, and more), arts and crafts, great vendors and a free concerts throughout the day, ending with our awesome headliners. (While this year's headliner has not yet been released, some of our past musicians have included Lifehouse, Sister Hazel, Micky & the Motorcars, Old 97's, Bob Schneider, Third Eye Blind, Polyphonic Spree, Robert Earl Keene and Asleep at the Wheel.) This fun festival, with an estimated attendance of 15,000, honors the role that rail has played in the City's history and its continuing importance today and in the future.
