With stone benches, flowering trees and a soothing dome-shaped fountain, Woo Sung Lee Plaza is a natural gathering spot where students study or relax between classes. The plaza was dedicated by UCC alum Woo Sung Lee in memory of his late son as well as to the friends he made while attending UCC.

Sam’s Place: A Place for Memories is the main palapa (gazebo) site at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. The site includes a bronze sculpture honoring the memory of Shirley "Sam" Durrill, who, along with her husband, Dusty, was an enthusiastic University supporter.
