David R. Maldonado is a triple fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip arthroscopy, hip preservation surgery, and robotic-assisted hip replacement. He performs leading-edge techniques in hip arthroscopy to repair or reconstruct injuries such as labral tears, hip impingement, and gluteus medius tears. He also has extensive experience in outpatient robotic hip replacement and hip resurfacing using minimally invasive approaches. Maldonado has treated collegiate, professional, and elite-level athletes, including NFL, NBA, MLS, and MLB players. He treats patients from across the country and takes pride in caring for every patient like a professional athlete. He’s also an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Maldonado’s medical background includes advanced training in hip arthroscopy/preservation, sports medicine, and adult joint reconstruction. He trained under such distinguished experts as hip arthroscopist and reconstruction expert Benjamin G. Domb, MD, and renowned orthopedic surgeon Neil ElAttrache, MD. Maldonado is a recognized hip arthroscopy expert, with over 200 peer-reviewed publications in this field in top peer-reviewed journals and numerous presentations at international academic meetings. He serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for the prestigious Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery, The American Journal of Sports Medicine, the Clinical Orthopaedic and Related Research Journal, the Journal of Hip Preservation Surgery, the Journal of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, The Journal of Arthroplasty, The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, and the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He’s a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS).

Eric O. Klineberg, MD, MS, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with spinal surgery expertise. His philosophy of care is to treat each patient as he’d want a member of his family or himself to be treated. He’s committed to excellence in surgical care, emphasizing communication, compassion, and empathy. Klineberg is also a professor and vice chair in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He serves as chief of orthopedic spine surgery and is the Milton “Chip” Routt Endowed Chair of Spinal Surgery. World-renowned in his field, Klineberg was a professor and vice chair of the Department of Orthopedics at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), for 16 years. He was also the chief of the spine service and co-director of the spine center. Klineberg clinically cared for complex adult spinal deformity patients at UC Davis and complex pediatric patients at Shriners Hospital for Northern California and was recognized for his clinical excellence. Klineberg has more than 300 publications and 20 book chapters, and is the book editor for “Adult Lumbar Scoliosis, A Clinical Guide to Diagnosis and Management.” He has developed a national and international reputation in spinal deformity surgery through research, teaching, and clinical activity. Klineberg serves on the executive committee of the International Spine Study Group and collaborates with researchers around the globe. He is a principal or co-principal investigator for over half a dozen clinical studies and has received numerous medical and educational grants. Nationally, Klineberg serves on the board of directors of the Scoliosis Research Society and co-chaired the 31st International Meeting on Advanced Spine Techniques. He is also a member of AO Spine, where he previously served as chair of the AOSNA spine fellowship committee and currently chairs AO Spine North America. Klineberg received his undergraduate degree from Rice University and his master’s at the University of Maryland, followed by his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore. He completed his residency at the University of Washington in Seattle and fellowship training in spinal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.
