From there he completed his acute pain management and regional anesthesia fellowship in Pittsburgh and continued on as a fellowship director in the same field at the University of Texas. He continued his practice as the director of Pain Management and Obstetrical Anesthesia at Bayfront Medical Center in his home town in St Petersburg, Florida. From there, he underwent his second pain management fellowship, in Chronic Interventional Pain in Clearwater Florida, at the Florida Spine Institute. He went on to owning his own practice in Tampa, Florida, and eventually to where he is currently, The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Mukalel Credits his mentors in guiding his philosophies in care and constant need for learning. His greatest teachers however have been his patients. Listening to their problems and empowering them to overcome their acute or chronic pain issues with his modern and innovative techniques.Dr. Mukalel has helped thousands of patients over multiple states over more than ten years of practice.
