John W Lindsey , MD

Swati Pradeep, DO, values communication. She believes it is an important part of the doctor-patient relationship in understanding each patient’s concerns and experiences, before coming up with an individualized treatment plan. Pradeep is committed to helping movement disorder patients by explaining what is happening to them and providing available resources and treatments that can help. She believes comprehensive education can help empower patients and their families to navigate the challenges that come with a movement disorder diagnosis. Her practice provides clinical evaluation and comprehensive care of patients with a wide range of movement disorders, including tardive dyskinesia and other drug-induced disorders. In addition, Pradeep’s team works with patients all across the Greater Houston area. They can perform procedures such as botulinum toxin injection therapies for dystonia, hemifacial spasm, spasticity, and deep brain stimulation programming for Parkinson’s disease, tremor, and dystonia. Pradeep graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015. In 2019, she completed her residency training in neurology at the University of Kentucky and was chief resident. Afterward, she completed additional fellowship training on movement disorders at UTHealth Houston in 2020. When not seeing patients, Pradeep enjoys reading, traveling, and painting.

Rupa Mahadevan, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatrician. Her clinical interests include general pediatrics, nutrition and health, childhood stress reduction, integrative medicine, mind-body medicine, culinary medicine, and clinical hypnosis. She’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and a culinary medicine instructor with UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. Mahadevan received her medical degree from George Washington University in 2013. She completed her pediatric residency in Chicago at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in 2016. She completed fellowship training in integrative medicine at Northwestern Medicine Osher Center in 2017 and the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2018. She’s trained in shared medical visits, nutrition, integrative oncology, clinical hypnosis, and mind-body medicine. Before joining UTHealth Houston, Mahadevan was co-director of the Cancer Survivorship and Lifestyle Medicine Clinic at Louisiana State University, during which time she taught culinary medicine for four years.

Ankur A. Kamdar, MD, is a dedicated, board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric rheumatologist.Hes also an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Kamdar was the first pediatric rheumatologist at the medical school and now leads the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology. He holds a joint clinical appointment with the Division of Rheumatology, working closely with the UT Physicians Center for Autoimmunity. He is also an associate program director for the medical schools general pediatric residency program, where he focuses on training the newest generation of pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists.Kamdar completed his medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine. He did his pediatrics residency and pediatric rheumatology fellowship through Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Childrens Hospital.Kamdar is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Rheumatology and the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA). He also serves on the board for the Arthritis Foundation, raising funds for advancing education and research in understanding arthritis. He has received numerous awards for teaching and dedication to service. Beyond his clinical and academic work, Kamdar is a committed mentor, guiding future medical professionals in general pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology.
