The Parole Division Region II is a regional office of the Parole Division, which is administered by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The Parole Division supervises offenders released from prison who are serving out their sentences in communities in Texas. It investigates parole plans proposed by inmates and tracks eligible cases and submits them. The division also supervises inmates in prerelease programs. The Parole Division operates through various regional and district offices. Additionally, it operates halfway house, substance abuse and intermediate sanction facilities. The division administers the county jail work release program.

The Sugar Land Police Department offers law enforcement, crime prevention and community policing services. It maintains a link between the general public, department personnel and other agencies. The department s personnel is responsible for taking calls from the public, obtaining all of the necessary information from the caller and dispatching officers to calls. The support services division is responsible for supporting all police department operations. The department s records section is responsible for maintaining all offense and arrest reports and internal records generated by the police department.
