Alisha Y. Young, M.D., received her undergraduate degree from Rice University in Houston and was awarded her medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She completed her internship and residency training in a combined family medicine and internal medicine residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, where she also served as the chief resident from 2012 to 2013. Dr. Young completed a year-long fellowship training in hospice and palliative care medicine at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas before pursuing pulmonary, critical care and sleep fellowship training at The University of Texas Houston Medical School in Houston (now McGovern Medical School). She is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine and hospice/palliative care medicine. In 2016, she joined the faculty at McGovern Medical School as an assistant professor with dual appointments in the Division of Critical Care Medicine and the Division of Geriatric and Palliative Care Medicine.

Dia Waguespack, MD, is a dedicated, board-certified, and fellowship-trained nephrologist. Her clinical and research interests focus on treating and managing glomerulonephritis, chronic kidney disease, and home dialysis therapies for end-stage kidney disease.
