Platinum Aquatics

History

Platinum Aquatics (PLAT) is a 501(c)(3) Texas nonprofit corporation and has been an affiliate of USA Swimming since 2011. Formerly associated with Gulf Swimming PLAT joined South Texas Swimming in 2021. USA Swimming, with over 400,000 members, is the National Governing Body for the sport of swimming in the United States and is responsible for selecting and training teams for international competition including the Olympic Games. The Local Swim Committee (LSC), South Texas Swimming, is responsible for administering USA Swimming activities in the Central and South Texas area. Through USA Swimming and South Texas Swimming, PLAT coaches and swimmers have the opportunity each year to participate in competition and to work alongside Olympic swimmers, World Champions and World Record Holders.
