Gus Garcia Middle School operates under the Edgewood Independent School District and provides educational programs to students in grades six through eight. It operates through various departments, such as curriculum and instruction, planning and student information, human resources, health services and print shop. The school has a guidance and counseling department that counsels students in their educational development and also offers individual and group counseling services. It has a library that offers a variety of print and electronic sources to assist students in the learning process. The school offers classes in computer technology, special education, social studies, math, science and physical education. Gus Garcia Middle School serves more than 550 students and is located in San Antonio.

Founded in 1952, Schertz Elementary School is an educational institution that provides learning experiences for students in pre-kindergarten through grade four. It supports music and physical education activities. The school conducts classes in science, math, English, social studies, language and English. It has a library that features more than 8,000 volumes and administers an accelerated reader program. Schertz Elementary School also organizes parent-teacher conferences. In addition, it has a cafeteria that serves a selection of lunch items. The school is managed by the Schertz-Sibolo-Universal City Independent School District, which operates through human resources, food service, finance, purchasing, transportation and technical services departments.
