Established in 1967, Lubbock Regional Mental Center specializes in providing services to people with mental illness, chemical dependency, mental retardatio,n and HIV and AIDS. It provides a wide range of services, including continuous treatment, medication management, peer support, community treatment and money management training services. Additionally, it offers evaluation and assessment services in the outpatient offices at Sunrise Canyon Hospital. The center also has a psychiatric facility for short-term management crisis that provides psychiatric evaluation, rehabilitation and discharge planning service.
