Stockdale Cemetery

Stockdale Cemetery, located in Stockdale, Texas, is a historic burial ground that has been serving the community since the 1870s. Originally established to provide a final resting place for a young man who was not related to any local settlers, the cemetery has grown over the years with additional acreage and now encompasses more than two and a half acres. It is the final resting place for many early settlers, including the town's founder and the first schoolteacher, as well as numerous war veterans and victims of a post-World War I flu epidemic.

The cemetery is maintained by the Stockdale Cemetery Association, which was formally organized in 1965.
