History
The Texas Scottish Festival & Highland Games, is dedicated to promoting the study of Scottish, Gaelic, & Celtic culture & preserving their heritage, history, traditions, & music through educational & entertaining events. Our first event was held in June 1986 on the plains of South Arlington at Caelum Moor. Year after year a group of dedicated volunteers gave their time, talent and money to make sure the festival continued. Our goal has always been to educate the public & encourage interest in traditional and contemporary Scottish music, dancing, piping, and athletics and to the the cultural legacy of generations of Scots to our communities. Year after year has seen, not only national and international entertainers, but world-class highland dancers, pipers, drummers, pipe bands, and athletes, as well as family oriented children's activities and educational seminars.
